a thick, sweet-and-sour sauce similar to Worcestershire sauce, but thicker and more flavorful. A creamy, spicy mayonnaise, applied in a lavish zigzag pattern, is then layered with traditional okonomiyaki ingredients like aonori (seaweed flakes), katsuobushi (bonito flakes), and scallions.

its origins date back centuries. Okonomiyaki, often referred to as Japanese “soul food,” is a savory pancake made with a wheat flour batter and shredded cabbage. Sushi Burrito

The portability of a burrito meets the freshness and umami flavor of sushi – the result is the hybrid “sushi burrito”. Compared to the popular compact, bite-sized Japanese sushi rolls, the sushi burrito is a larger, more manageable version with a variety of fillings and flavors.

Drawing inspiration from both Japanese and Mexican culinary traditions, the sushi burrito consists of seasoned sushi rice and nori seaweed wrapped in fillings such as raw or cooked fish and fresh vegetables. Spicy mayonnaise, avocado and other toppings add flavor and texture.

Although a modern creation, the sushi burrito is rooted in traditional Japanese sushi techniques.
